Just yesterday, I made a song cover featuring Sonic and Tails AI voice filters, and it turned out good enough for me to change a couple lifelong stances regarding me and Sonic voice acting! Details just ahead.

Around a decade ago, I had a dream which resembled a scene from Muppet Treasure Island, and it involved Sonic and Tails hanging upside down from a space station, both singing their respective parts for the song number "Love Led us Here" from the movie, frequently cutting to a party inside the space station.

Shortly after, I tried creating the song cover itself using my truly authentic voice acting, but the results, especially for Tails, were absolutely horrible.

Fast forward a decade, and AI song covers by Sonic and Tails started cropping up everywhere, so just for kicks, I wanted to redo these efforts I made a decade ago with this newly-invented technology. Since I couldn't separate the two different vocals of the song with AI (just all the vocals from the instrumentals), and since I wanted to AI-cover a duet legitimately, I decided to rerecord the vocals myself using a general singing voice, and then run those through the AI voice filters.

The results were absolutely stunning, for the most part. However, I later found out that for these "AI covers" on YouTube that run the original vocals through these filters, it failed to account for the original mannerisms of these vocals. So, for example, we have Tails having Michael Jackson's accents & mannerisms. Tails would never really talk like that. So, basically, some talent is still required to use AI in a convincing manner.

With that said, I slowly had the thought of re-dubbing one of my older shorts with these AI filters in mind, though I didn't know which one to do at first.

Then, I remembered I made a pinned comment on my YouTube video "And you thought Microsoft was bad (Part 2)" (originally titled "Tails and the Techno Phone"), saying that the voice acting I made for that video sounded incredibly muffled and I "may" consider a redub.

Well... that sounds like a promise I had to go through with. So, expect an AI redub of "Tails and the Techno Phone" on Newgrounds very soon!

I have been on YouTube since 2012 and have been posting random videos for my first three years on the platform. That is until I started making & uploading 3D Sonic the Hedgehog Fan Animations (though I still uploaded other videos as I wanted to)... and that's when my channel really took off. And even now, my Sonic fan animations seem to be outperforming all my other videos, no matter how clickbaity they are!

This is also why I made a secondary channel for Alvin and the Chipmunks fan animations (which I have yet to make) & covers. Yes; a franchise that I'm sure a lot of you hate, but I became an unexpected fan of it back in 2016!

And these fan animations are what I want to carry over here. You see, the only other reason why I wanted to jump ship here was because YouTube has such a horrible track record and they've shown time and time again that they won't change their terribleness!

Even though there were multiple breaking points throughout my time on YouTube that got me to want to delete my account entirely, the latest (and most definitive) happens to be the SSSniperWolf/Jacksfilms incident earlier this month. I would give off a brief explanation of said incident, but that would be unrelated.

That whole situation made me want to delete my YouTube channels because I just didn’t want to be associated with such an evil platform run by complete and total scumbags anymore! But right now, I'm still hesitant to do so solely because I had been getting lots of comments telling me that they'll miss me, and begging me not to delete everything. But that just led to a longer dilemma story that has nothing to do with my newfound presence here on Newgrounds...

So, expect me to reupload some of my old Sonic Fan Animations to Newgrounds, probably on an irregular basis! And do expect more all-new Sonic (and AATC) Fan Animations to come here, maybe exclusively!
